Hi! I’m Ashia Stothart

My journey begins in 2005 at hair styling school in Oshawa. I attended classes Monday to Friday, and worked at my Mom’s salon in Cobourg on Saturdays. After graduation in 2006, I started my apprenticeship at her salon, and was then hired as a full-time hairstylist. I did hundreds of shampoos, plenty of sweeping and dusting, and dedicated many hours to building relationships with clients. A year later, I was a fully licensed hairstylist and had a booming clientele. Eager to do more, my Mom and I begin a business together called Moxy's. Our business began to grow, and we continued to hire more staff. As a mother-daughter team, we work extremely well together, and feed off each other’s energy. Today, I specialize in colour, cutting, and updos. I've travelled for wedding parties and body building competitions, and offer ear piercing, waxing, hair extensions, and perms. I've taken many colour classes, and have travelled across North America for salon consulting and business education. Outside the salon, I have so much love for my pets, my partner and family. I play hockey and exercise regularly. I volunteer for a local animal rescue organization, cut hair at Brookside Youth Center, and volunteer with teens whose parents have struggle with addictions. I have a deep love for designing and decorating, practice reiki and mediation, and enjoy travelling whenever I can. Hairstyling is something I'll always have. I followed in my Mom’s footsteps on a whim, and now I have a career that I can take anywhere in the world. Thanks for finding out a little bit more about me. Peace + Love + Light ~Ashia~
